Gardening is not just about lawns and flowers, it is much more than that. It encompasses an enormous number of areas from the hobby gardener growing miniature alpines to the family gardener in their allotment. It may be that you simply want the best garden pond or the finest marrows or you want to go down the line of creating new varieties of plants. Whatever it is we have the expert who can work with you to achieve your dream. Here are a few suggestions:

Growing vegetables can be rewarding and good cultivation will increase the yield.

Alpines. Some alpines require special treatment to grow and there are a number of ways to to create the right conditions.

Plant Propagation. As well as a good way to obtain free plants the mechanics of propagation need to be understood if you want to move into plant development. Many new varieties are created by amateurs and there are competitions around the world for them to be shown.

Arboriculture. Growing and maintaining trees successfully needs some knowledge. Although not something that would develop into a hobby, anyone with mature trees or planning a new purchase would find a consultation with one of our tree experts invaluable.

Water Gardening. Gardening can be time-consuming, but adding a water feature to the garden can double that work. Whether just a bubble fountain or a grand lake, careful preparation, considered choices and correct construction is essential.

Top Fruits - apples pears, peaches etc.. Selection, pruning, rootstocks, varieties and pests are all concerns of the fruit gardener and our trainer will be able to assist you with all these things and give you tips for a better crop.

Soft Fruits - strawberries, blackberries, blueberries etc..The soft fruit gardener has the same concerns as that of the top fruit gardener and our specilist will be able to advise along the same lines.

Vegetable Gardening .Many of the same concerns as those of the fruit gardeners are also of concern to the veg gardener. However, here you may want to "grow to show" and our expert will be able to show you not just how to but what to grow and what the judges look for.

Prices: on application (it will depend on the area of expertise needed and the cost of the expert but generally it will be £40 an hour, £250 daily rate, £125 half-day)
