Graham has lectured at the English Gardening School and The Gardeners' Academy. He is a speaker for the Royal Horticultural Society and presents the talks below to gardening clubs and other organisations throughout the country.

TALKS

"Many thanks for a very informative and amusing talk.  I for one went home and checked that my retaining wall had been built properly (relief-yes it has), my wisteria was not too close to the wall (it is) and I had no dreadful design bloomers (of course not!). It is so important that we can find good speakers like yourself to support us as we try to raise funds for this very needy cause. I hope you enjoyed your lunch with us and didn't mind us all taking the opportunity to solve our various gardening problems!" - Ailsa Williams, Beaconsfield Friends of Cancer Research

"Thank you for the interesting (and humorous) talk you gave to my Gardening Club last Thursday" - Jill Ovenden, Sunningwell Gardening Club.

"Many Thanks for an interesting evening last Wednesday which was much enjoyed " - Ken Spriggs, Hitchin Garden Club

"It was good to see you again and our thanks are sent to you for offering such an interesting talk to our group. It was informative and enjoyable and has got our year off to a good start." - Barbara Randall, Denham Village Garden Club

" Thank you for a lively and interesting talk last night.  We really enjoyed your visit and look forward to seeing you again".
Yours Liz and NB (Newton Blossomville) Garden club.

"Thank you for your very informative and entertaining talk you gave to the gardeners group. I am sure many of our members including me had a good look round our gardens the next day and highlighted our mistakes, whether we can put them right remains to be seen!!" Maureen White, Chesham & District Community Association Gardeners Group

"On behalf of the committee and members of Chalfont St. Giles Garden association, I wish to thank you for the excellent talk you gave last thursday evening.  You gave many tips and good advice on how to avoid so many mistakes.  We all appreciated your  sense of humour and patience in coping with the film crew".  Best wishes, barry

The following are talks offered to clubs and organisations. Each lasts approximately 60 minutes and is illustrated by slides (equipment provided).

Garden Design Techniques

A talk designed to give the private gardener some design tips to make the process of gardening easier and to show what is possible.

The Mistakes Gardeners Make

A bit of fun with a serious side. It will help the gardener avoid mistakes in his or her own garden.
'I would like to thank you for the talk you gave to our group. It was extremely humorous and informative and we all had a most enjoyable evening' Ruth, The Hardy Plant Society
'On behalf of Ballinger Horticultural Society I would like to thank you for your entertaining talk. We would very much like to invite you back to talk on another subject' Alison
'Many thanks for your interesting and amusing talk. You told me your job was to entertain and a number of our members thanked me for an enjoyable evening' Rita, Redbourn in Bloom

More Mistakes Gardeners Make The Mistakes Gardeners Make has proved to be very popular over the years and I have been collecting more and here they are. Again more fun with a serious side.

Low Maintenance Gardening

A look at ways of reducing the unnecessary work in the garden to enable the gardener to concentrate on quality work.

Patio and Courtyard Garden Design A talk looking at aspects of design in patios and courtyards. As with all my talks we also look at the practical side of design and means of construction.

Creative Gardening for Busy people

An adjunct to Graham's book of the same title.

Vertical Gardening

A look at vertical structures and climbing plants.
'I would like to express our thanks for a most enjoyable, and informative, talk last Thursday. I am sure everybody learned something. Once again thank you for a very enjoyable evening' Pat Greatwood, Chalfont St. Giles Gardens Association

The Shady Border

A talk to take away the fear and mystery from those shady corners and north facing gardens.

Each talk costs £110 and mileage is charged at 45p (this may change if the price of fuel goes up considerably) a mile. I will bring slides and projector plus stand and screen.
